Killer Prom Queen

Tiffany-May White is 18. She’s a Prom Queen and cheerleader and has a lovely smile. The thing is, Tiffany-May is also a bit unstable. Well to be honest, she’s completely insane, psychotic in fact! Tiffany-May hates all the other girls, hates the boys, hates the teachers too. She’s not overly keen on most of the parents either. But Tiffany is Prom Queen now, because she smiles ever soooo sweetly, and so now... they’ve all got to listen to her. Because isn’t that what happens when you’re Queen? People DO WHAT THEY ARE TOLD! And if they don’t, well... Tiffany will just have to get even with them... and smile ever so sweetly as she does... ever so sweetly!

Tiffany May white tiene 18 años. Es la reina del baile de graduación y es una porrista con una adorable sonrisa. Lo que pasa es que, Tiffany May es un poco inestable. Tiffany odia a todas las otras chicas, odia a los chicos y odia a los maestros también. Tampoco le caen muy bien la mayoría de los padres tampoco. Pero Tiffany es la reina ahora, poque sonríe taaaan tiernamente, y asi que... tienen que prestarle atención. Porque, acaso no es eso lo que pasa cuando eres la reina? las personas HACEN LO QUE TU LES DICES! y si no, pues... Tiffany tendrá que rendir cuentas con ellos y sonreir tiernamente mientras lo hace.... tan tiernamente!

Aqui tienen una página sin el texto agregado de la novela gráfica de "Fate of the Gods" que ha sido escrita por Kassim Massop y esta siendo ilustrada por mí. Voy en la página 11 me faltan como mas de 50! espero acabar para cuando acabe este año o inicios del siguiente.

Brides of the lifless forest

There where sisters that loved to play in the woods. Hide and seek in hollow tree trunks, running, chanting and dancing all thru the evening. One day they ceased to return home, after their playful sessions. They knew the woods like the palm of their hand but a fog so terrible clouded the way. For the first time they where lost.
During the night, they heard a deep voice coming form one of the tree trunks in wich they played. The voice said:

We cant let you go.

The forest spirit fell in love with the chanting and signing of the sisters and tried to claim them as his own.

They could never leave the woods, instead their spirits kept playing inside forever. Trapping and killing passerbys is just a game for them. Born again as the brides of the lifless forest.

Eran hermanas y les encantaba jugar a las escondidas en troncos huecos del bosque. Corrian cantaban y jugaban toda la tarde. Un día ya no volvieron a casa después de una de sus tardes de juego. Aunque conocían el camino muy bien, una densa neblina les impidió regresar. Por primera vez, estaban perdidas.

Esa noche, las hermanas se abrazaban mientras trataban de encontrar una salida dentro del laberinto cuando escucharon una voz que salía del fondo de uno de los troncos en los que se escondían. Les dijo:

"No las puedo dejar ir".

Uno de los espiritus del bosque se había enamorado de los cantos y bailes de las hermanas y ahora trataba de mantenerlas para siempre con él.

Sus almas nunca salieron, y siguieron jugando por siempre. Atrapan a los que pasan por ahí y se divierten con ellos. Muchas veces el juego dura hasta que el invitado muere. Pero ellas solo lo ven así, como lo que hacían cuando corrian y cantaban antes de perderse aquella vez en la niebla. Son las novias del bosque sin vida.

He estado haciendo estos en la semana.

Mejorando Con caras de niños. Siempre en todos mis dibujos terminan pareciendo mas viejos de lo que son, por eso aqui estan estos intentos, use fotos de internet para referencia. Esas son mis manos, poniendome las vendas para mi clase de kempo. Los torsos son parte de una pesadilla que tuve el otro día, y los cerdos los hice en ms descansos de otras cosas. Explorando la idea de lo imposible. Gracias por ver y comentar.

Been doing these ones over the week.

Getting better at kids faces. I have a tendency to make them look like older for some reason so... hence these tryouts, i used reference from pictures on the web. Those hands are mine, preparing for kempo class, (love putting on those bandages). The torsos are part of a nightmare i had the other day, and the pigs where done in between breaks from other things, thinking about the idea of the imposible. thnx for watching and commenting.

New cover work

This piece was done for a special fishing net manual for fishermen in the northern high gulf of mexico. The idea is to get rid of their old net wich kills a lot of sea species that come along with the shrimp that they are originally after. Some field work was done and it involved going fishing with some of the local people, lotta fun.

Took out the Type to display just the ilustration.

New POCKET cover

This work is for commercial advertising magazine POCKET in Hermosillo Sonora. I did the cover for their first issue, check back a few posts for it... and now this one is for their november issue, that has two skeletons dancing cumbia norteña celebrating the day of the dead, wich is pretty big tradition here in mexico. Some space was left in the top for the magazine title. So here you go, hope you enjoy this little taste of life here in my country, the north especially.

This is a work from 2007 but still one of my favorites. Just for fun, but a little reflexive also.

Gatopollos!

These are character designs i did for Gatopollo Livehouse. The name of the place comes from the mixture of a cat (gato) and chicken (pollo) in spanish, and its basically a rock oriented bar with live band playing 60's to nowadays rock, you can check out their website here. The characters display the bar's strong points, dressed up as rock stars, a catchicken gene simmons to display booze or a catchicken ozzy for food in the menu. hope you like.

idea:
-Caparazón utilizado como camuflage para esconderse en formaciones rocosas.
-El caparazón cubre más área en su cuerpo mientras se hacen más viejos y mientras coman más unicornios. mientras más maten, mejora su camuflage.
Nacen sin caparazón así que para cazar tienen que confiar en la velocidad y fuerza en su juventud
Pueden hacer su cuello hacia atrás y meterlo en el caparazón así como las tortugas para ayudarse a esconder mejor.

viendo la chamba ya terminada, me hubiera gustado hacer algo mas simbólico o fantástico, en fín, ahi vamos. Me gustó como quedó el bosque.
